<p>My kids like to ski, so I usually get them a gift certificate that will cover lodging for 2-3 nights at a ski lodge that they like. Another option is to buy a gift certificate for dinner at a restaurant that I know they enjoy too. H and I also gifted our frequent flier miles one time when I knew that one of my kids wanted to visit Prague.</p>
