Gifts of Food--where/what have you ordered that has been successful?

I looked at the Bon Ton “sale” prices for Harry & David, and they seem to be the same as the non-sale prices at Harry & David’s own site.

Harry&David and Wolferman’s are doing free shipping today.

The free shipping though does not kick in until the purchase reaches $79 for Wolferman’s. I have sent Wolferman’s many times but usually have sent things in the $25-50 range.

This is more than the OP wants to spend…but the best gift I’ve given my husband in recent years was Craft Beer of the Month Club.

I Googled and found a free shipping priority code for Wolfermans. I just ordered a $29 package and got free shipping.

Great, @Cardinal Fang. The codes are helpful to include if people have them.

Late notice but Stonewall Kitchen has free shipping today for all orders over $25. Ends at midnight ET. Code: SHIPIT

Hey Thanks! CF, I was able to get two gifts sent for free using the Wolferman’s code IRSFD
Did the make my own box with 6 items for 39.99. I did mix of sweet rolls and buns and muffins.

I’m not wild about Edible Arrangements either. For a party, perhaps. I’ve always loved Harry and David’s pears, but nothing else they sell. My parents have sent us Wolferman’s English Muffins, which were very good, especially as you can easily freeze them and take out a package when you want one. One of my nieces sent us Maytag cheese a few times. I love their blue cheese, the others are okay. For a blue cheese lover a big round of their blue would be a great gift.

I don’t usually order preserves and pickles and so forth, because I make them. Nor do I order chocolates or toffee or caramels, for the same reason. But I will say that American Spoon Foods are great, particularly the cherry things. And they usually have really nice packaging. Stonewall Kitchen is also excellent.

In the past, I loved receiving ripe red grapefruit from Florida, Indian River, IIRC. I can’t recall the name of the grove/seller. I have not enjoyed oranges as much.

This thread reminds me that I have to get started packing my Christmas boxes!
