I’m currently a junior in high school, and I am working on ideas for my Girl Scout Gold Award Project. I really want to do something involving medical facilities, treatment, or care packages because I am very interested in pursuing medicine and treatment in the future.

Who I want to target: impoverished people (nationl and/or international) who don’t have access to quality healthcare or facilities

Where I want to target: my local community is ‘well-off’ so I was looking more into an international level, especially since my church has connections to El Salvador and a Native American Reservation in Washington state.

Why medicine: I know I’ll work hard and puruse my project with optimal interest because I plan on pursuing medical treatment in the future.

Time limit: I want to start fundraisers/organization for my project in the next month.

I’ve been researching organizations such as Doctors without Borders & Red Cross, but most don’t give options for student volunteers and such.
Ideas would be greatly appreciated (:
