I totally agree with the “looking at you as a person” comment.
I know they’re not the same schools, but I have a friend who made mostly B’s and A’s, but consistently had wonderful grades in english and C’s and low B’s in math and mathy subjects. She also had a low math SAT. She now goes to Davidson. They weren’t worried about it (according to the admissions office) b/c they correctly assumed that she’d be just fine in whatever she ended up majoring in. She now has jobs overseas every summer and is often featured in the school’s magazine. A damn good essay can take you far.

thanks naomiiii and figure skater! you’re right, it’s only a couple days til we all know :)

^ agreed. I will hope for the best and, luckily, there are only so many more days we can afford to stress out over this, seeing as we should all hear back by next Tuesday or so.

Good luck to you all!

Does anyone know when they mail out letters?

I’m dying…

rumor has it they’re mailed tomorrow I think?

TOMORROW? That’s too soon. I know I’ve been sitting here anxiously awaiting DYING TO KNOW, but now that it seems so close I kind of don’t want a tangible decision. It could be better if I just sit here anxiously optimistic forever instead of finding out they’ve rejected me…

asfjldsfjsdklfj ARGHHH

haha i feel the same way casablanca, but I also just want to know so I can decide where I’m going! good luck I live far away, so I may not know until monday or later, but whenever everyone finds out, please post your decision and stats if you want to! I can’t wait to hear!!

No stats for me yet. I’m ready to hear some (hopefully crosses fingers good) news!

I guess if they were mailed today, some of us should be hearing back like TOMORROW if it’s still via Priority Mail…This is so nerve wracking, Barnard is my top choice and also a major reach (3.6 gpa whaddup). AHHHH, anyways, good luck to all of you girls as well!

If I don’t hear by tomorrow I’m going to cry! I can’t wait until Monday. I haven’t heard from anywhere since March 1st, I need my fix.

Goooooood luck x1000 to everyone!

Were letters officially sent out?

Yes they were mailed out today. I live outside the US so they email-ed me a notification of my decision and said they’ve sent out the letters :)!
Best of luck everyone!

What about if you live in California? Eta of letter? Currently
In NYC and my friend is checking my mail for me!! Good luck to us all!!!

Does anyone know if they send rejections in Priority envelopes too? Or is it like accepted students get Priority envelopes and rejected students get a normal letter sized envelope?

Is there a chance that decisions will arrive in California today? So nervous, my mail hasn’t come yet.

^Unless they’ve discovered a way to teleport mail I’d think not…
If it was mailed out today there’s no way it would have made it all the way to California in the same day. I live in Washington and I’m hoping for Monday or Tuesday.

Aw Rose. lol. no. no chance you’ll get the letter before Monday. Tuesday the earliest for you…

Shadow: can you post your email? :)

I got rejected from 8 colleges, four of which were seven sisters, so it doesn’t look too promising for me for barnard.

has anyone heard yet? I just found out I didn’t get into nyu, so I pretty much know for Barnard (since in my opinion, it is harder to get into!) but I’m still interested in hearing who got in! Good luck :)

haha, I got rejected from NYU & GWU :)

waitlisted at Smith…

PRAYING for Barnard
