Go! Heels!

So very sad today!!! Jared Dudley is such a great kid, and usually money on the free throw line, but not last night. DD saw a great game, but was very disappointed with the outcome. On the good side, though–she was thrilled to have her picture taken with super hero Doug Flutie!!

irish - the other thing that is finally, finally happening and that we saw a hint of last night…is that UNC is getting their speed back. For the last few games, it’s been frustrating to watch them get stuck and not be able to move. Hopefully, a turnaround is in play.

According to my d, there is a facebook group called “Ty Lawson Can Teleport”…lol. There is a good reason for it.

We’re on different pages about hopes for the tarheels, ldmom06!! But I understand your feelings!!

We saw the Duke women soundly defeat the MD women last night–great game except for the idiot in the seat behind us who would not stop screaming at the refs, and kept screaming at Allison Bales that she was a freak–very offensive!! The Duke players and coaches were very poised through it all. It made me all the happier that Duke won. When we went to UNC for the BC game last year people were very polite toward us–as they always have been at other colleges we’ve gone to for games. This experience only confirmed stories I had heard about MD fans.

I don’t like that one bit irish. Calling these players names, making fun of their appearance or attacking them personally is just wrong. Allison, and Tyler and the others who seem to be subjected to more of this type nonsense, are just kids with the same insecurities as anyone else. Just because they are world class athletes doesn’t mean they can’t get their feelings hurt.

Congrats on the win btw! Are they still undefeated?

The Duke women are 28-0!!! Best record of all D-1 teams in the country, male or female. There is so much parity among the males teams–even the best have lost at least 2. The only thing to worry about is taking that into the tournaments–big target for everyone. I don’t know if anyone has “run the table” in women’s bball (maybe Tennessee??).
