Golden Globes 2018

Tonight - Red Carpet at 6, awards at 8pm. I feel like I have finally watched or are at least familiar with some of the non-network series up for awards.

I worked extra hard all day to get my home tasks done so I could have the plop in my chair time to watch tonight.

Anxious to see how the #timesup platform is played out. And of course, love to see all the dresses and chat!

Chime in if you’re watching!

I’m watching!

What network starts at 6? I like the run way , often more than the show.

E! network.

Kelly Clarkston is just a delight. I never like how she dresses but she is a fun lady and very natural/normal! When she fan flipped over Meryl!!!

Yes, I’ve been looking forward to it all day! Seth Myers is my favorite and I’ve seen many of the nominees this year.

Thx all. Found the E channel

@abasket, agree. Kelly was adorable.

The women are right to wear black for #TimesUp, but it has to be said that black does not flatter some of them as much as it flatters others.

Um. Cover up, Sharon Stone. X_X

So far, my favorite on the red carpet is Kerry Washington. She’s great!

Not a fan of Kate Hudson’s dress. She usually looks so good.

I don’t know I think most everyone looks great! I miss the colors a bit but honestly I think I’m listening more to what they are all saying!

I appreciate the cause, but some of these people take themselves sooo seriously. For me, it would mean more coming from a bank teller making $25,000/year than a multi millionaire actress wearing pricey clothes and jewels.

I’m sure bank tellers making $25K would say the same thing, but no one is shoving mikes in their faces. The actresses are using the platform they have to benefit other women who don,t have the same platform.

^^ 100%. They are all making it very clear that they represent everyone. They are literally walking hand in hand with those who have worked or spoke up.

I think it’s great that this platform can be about the actors work but not only about that work. I personally feel that I am seeing many of these actresses in a very NORMAL relatable way. I mean, I’m ready to hang out with all of them!!!

Ouch… the HW joke (being the first person ever booed at during in memoriam) did not go well.

I like Seth Myers but jokes like the Kevin Spacey one seem a little tone deaf after just hearing all the women on the red carpet talk seriously about the sexual assault issue.

Agree!

I felt MOST of his opening was decently good - except the Spacey comments.
