I don’t want to gunk up (technical term) the prep school forum with college search issues, but on the other hand, you are the people I know and trust - has any one spent time on the college section of the forum and found any good areas for “folks like us”.

Looking for: I’m struggling with this, and that’s a bad thing, because I have to write something clear and intelligent by Nov 15th for my daughter’s college counseling office -

medium size, strong writing and arts, inclusive music, wide range of recreational sports, and a place where you don’t have to be good at science and math but they expect you to do it any how…any names come to mind?

regards to all - and thanks for any good leads!

There are so many schools that could fit that description. It also depends alot on GPA and test scores to give a range of possible. Beyond size think about urban or rural, core/distribution requirements or not, geograpic part of the country, etc.

Check out the parents forum, particularly the threads for your DCs graduation. They become real communities and can be very helpful.

Right–I meant that maybe a search for St. Olaf on CC might get you to a useful forum. If it were me, I’d start with the names of a few colleges I liked, and see what rabbit trails they took me down…

St. Olaf’s sounds like a great start for a search - always had a soft spot for them - a friend from high school went there, and I have always thought of them as a place with something intriguing.
