<p>I’m looking at liberal arts schools where I could major in music but still get a good background in other subjects (in case I choose to double major or continue on to grad school in another discipline). I’m interested in voice, but I know that a lot of liberal arts schools won’t have vocal performance majors, although a performance concentration within the major would be ideal. Do you know of any academically rigorous schools that offer a BA in music and have a strong music program, but that are not conservatories or schools of music? Also, do you know anything about the music programs at Pomona, Scripps, Tufts, Barnard, Wash U, Emory, or Tulane?</p>
