Google BOLD Internship 2019

@479470 I’m not sure if it’s a bad sign, if anything think of it as them evaluating your application!

Ok im kind of stressed because my first interview was great, went for about 47 minutes but my second one, I answered about 3 questions and that was it, lasted about 20… anyone else have this experience?

i got an interview offer as well! really nervous, also for anyone wondering I didn’t have a referral. @HeadsInTheClouds good luck on your interview!

@479470, don’t take it as a bad sign, i was anxious as well because I was getting views and no responses, but they’re just reviewing your application. also in an email i received they said only a few teams have confirmed headcount this far in advance for a 2019 summer intern.

@pa55ioncandy Congrats!! What department are you interviewing for?

@HeadsInTheClouds @pa55ioncandy Congrats on getting an interview, and good luck! Super excited for you guys, and hoping they go well!

@cec373 @LilianaCS thanks guys! and it’s the gTech department

@LilianaCS thank you! Keep your head up too!

I’m kind of bummed because I found out that my interview isn’t until mid-January. But it makes sense, it’s affected by the holidays and the busiest time of the year is usually the beginning.

@pa55ioncandy Nice!! I’m sure you’re gonna nail it! Keep us updated!

Did anyone else receive the “Google BOLD Internship Teams & Location” earlier today?

Yes @rudy3martin

Hi everyone! Is receving the supplement an indication of possibly getting an interview?

Did anyone not receive the “Google BOLD Internship Teams & Locations”? Because I have’t received one…

@dkshruteee It is, it’s thw first step Google takes in order to match you up with a team and location. I think someone in the thread said that it goes to everyone, but the Google Doc with FAQ’s says that it goes to “selected candidates.” So I’d be optimistic!

I’m curious - did anyone select Finance as their preference on the supplemental form? I am struggling to find details on this segment of BOLD and was wondering if anyone had insight on the selection process, interview structure, etc.

@jsp283 Nope, I didn’t either. Guess those of us who applied towards the end are just kinda in a weird limbo right now. Regardless, as long as my application is in the system, I’m fine with it.

@rudy3martin Not that I know of. However, Finance is fairly standardized across the board. If anything, I would recommend studying for interviews in this department as if it’s an interview for any large financial institution (BlackRock, Barclays, Bloomberg, JP Morgan, ect.). Just tone down the formalities a bit just to match Google’s culture and you should be good to go. Regardless, if you do ever get an interview, you could always ask your recruiter about how to approach it. I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to help you in that case.

@jsp283 I haven’t received that email either. It also seems like no one got marketing interviews, which was the department I applied for. I’m a bit worried, but we should wait and not lose hope yet.

@cec373 ya, like I said above, most departments haven’t gathered a headcount for summer interns. You my have to wait til January or February. I’ve got hope though!

Just got the Teams and Locations email right now, so it seems like it is a little spread out. But could also not mean much haha I guess we just gotta be patient until like March lol

I just got another hang tight email, I received one about 3 weeks ago as well

Just got my first hang tight email and took notice that most of the people who accepted the internship are PoC. Is google bold exclusively for PoC?
