Lol…guess who’s still waiting to hear back with an offer? This guy! It’s been two weeks. Going on three tomorrow
all of you guys that are still waiting to hear back, have you all done/gotten interviews?
I have not.
@2016haha I think everyone here except for like 5 people are still waiting to hear back. So far, I’ve only seen 1 person rejected outright, 2 people who had interviews last year and got offers, and 2 people who have done interviews this year and are waiting to hear back. Other than that, I’m assuming the rest of us haven’t heard anything yet besides for the “hang tight” emails.
@cutiepatootie97 I think one of the people who got an offer got it for People Ops (I think their name was “kdawg” if I remember correctly, but too lazy to scroll back through the pages to find it).
The memory on this kid haha @BladeHunter
Got the “hang tight” email and almost chucked my computer across the room hahah
ahh also got the “hang tight” email. Just put me out of my misery pls
Just found out that if you have a long wait after interviews it’s usually a good sign, as Google and Facebook are quick to reject.
@RishiS97 My deadline is coming up at the end of the month and I submitted the form… Still waiting to hear back though
I just found out Google is apparently visiting my school, but I’m not sure if it’d be worth attending or not, especially since I’m 90% sure they’re not specifically BOLD recruiters and are probably looking for CS majors.
@HeadsInTheClouds Haha yeah, I tend to remember random details in things that I’m super invested in (like this internship lol).
@BladeHunter Google visited my school a couple days ago and I thought the same thing but stood in line anyway. As expected, they were all looking for techies and had no advice to offer regarding the BOLD application process, except that we should stay put…
Hey guys, I have to let my school know about my participation in the summer startup incubator program by February 28th. Would it help to contact a recruiter about this? Did anybody get their application reviewed earlier due to cases like this?
@BladeHunter you should of course sign up to speak with someone from Google. Who knows, they could be former employees instead of recruiters (an employee that could introduce you to someone in non-technical)… Getting FaceTime with anyone from the company is good for you. Don’t wait, just do it. If you don’t someone else will
I recently applied on January 30th, does anyone know how long it will take for me to hear back?
@JP0204 Did you apply to the BOLD internship on January 30th?
If so, the application closed sometime in November 2018
Welp, the meetup ended up getting canceled cause of weather, so I guess nothing gained, nothing lossed. >:D<
P.S: @JP0204 Mate, pretty sure you’re posting in the wrong section, cause this thread is for BOLD and not BOLD Immersion. There’s a BOLD Immersion 2019 thread a bit further down on this board if that’s what you’re looking for. (I could also be wrong and you somehow actually managed to apply to BOLD 3 months after the deadline, but I kinda doubt that’s the case)
Another hang tight email
@BladeHunter @HeadsInTheClouds I believe you are completely correct! My apologies everyone!
Another hang tight email today…is this a really bad sign? Haven’t interviewed yet, but when I applied, I got the supplementary form only a couple days later, which I thought was a good sign.
Received another “hang tight” email today about how to prepare for an interview…Don’t know if this is a good sign or a bad sign…?
