@HeadsInTheClouds Hey! I have my interview soon. Is there any way you could message me? I don’t have enough posts to send a message first
Hey guys who got an interview, did your recruiter contact you from their personal email (like their employee emails) or through the generic bebold email?
Also just sent them an email asking to check my supplemental but they haven’t gotten back yet. It’s been like 2 business days so far, but I’m assuming they’re busy trying to finish up recruiting at this point and aren’t answering any more questions. Oh well, just gotta hope that my stuff is right and I didn’t miss any important emails.
@cmbyn1 Yeah same, but I’ve only gotten like 1 or 2 hang tight emails.
I went back and looked at the last few years of cc threads and it seems there’s a mass rejection sent out in the first week of april or so…
can anyone who’s gotten an interview tell me whether recruiters looked at your linkedin or not? I know that’s not an ideal way to gauge interest but I need something lol
@HeadsInTheClouds That’s awesome, when does the internship begin? Yeah honestly I’m trying to forget about it but I simply can’t [-O<
I’m sure it’s much harder to apply for a job position than an internship, I’m graduating on the fall so that’s why I’m stressing lol
I’m hoping for the best. What were some signs you would say that your interviewers gave out from their behavior that you knew the interview went well for you?
@Freshsince96 Hey I’m a senior graduating on the fall of this year.
@BladeHunter hey! I received my interview offer through my recruiter from her work email.
@dkshruteee I think they do, because I’ve received notifications that recruiters from google looked at my linkedIn before i received my interview offer. That is why I always keep my linkedIn profile curated.
Did you receive an interview or offer? What was everyone’s GPA, how can I update my application with latest transcript and resume?
@Freshsince96 it was to interview. My GPA is a 3.5 , & I’ll connect with you. Send me your name through message.
I’ve been reading through this thread daily and am finally deciding to join in on the excitement. I am also still waiting/hoping/praying for an interview offer email. Fingers crossed for all of us. And, I am also graduating in December 2019. Any tips or suggestions on how to receive an interview at this point? I emailed my recruiter with a resume update just a few days ago and feel like waiting it out might be best at this stage. My last hang tight email was 3/4.
First time poster here – After looking at this thread for MONTHS I got an interview offer today for their Cloud Sales ECD team! I’m super excited but also so so so so nervous, I honestly couldn’t believe it, so I guess we will see what happens. My last hang tight email before the email from the recruiter today was 3/1, and I think I got 5 of them starting in like early December. I honestly started giving up hope. Best of luck to everyone!
@rvrvrv Ah! Congrats!!! Wishing you the very best! When is your interview?! And what did you apply for? Thank you for posting and giving us some hope!
@csochoa Thanks for the response! Also, when you say that recruiters looked at your profile before you received your interview offer, do you mean like a couple of days before or like a while ago?
I’m just getting antsy because I remember Google recruiters reviewing my profile around the same time I got my last hang tight email like 2 months ago, and just haven’t heard anything since.
hello, everyone. I’ve been very attentive to this group. A quick question: Has anyone heard anything from the people operations department? I haven’t seen anyone post about it so just wanted to know!
Good job to all of you!!! You guys are killing it. Just remember to keep up your faith and you should ALWAYS be talking and connecting with new Googlers. Remember, no opportunities are given to you, you must go out and grab them and convince others of your potential! You all have it.
Answering questions:
- My recruiter contacted me from their Google email, not the Be Bold email!
- Maybe my recruiter looked at my LinkedIn, but some looks were private and at the time I had already tried the LinkedIn trial. But, I used LinkedIn as a way to actively seek out Googlers that were alumni of my university, THEN after I got my interview, I actively looked for people in the team I was interviewing with to talk to.
- @csochoa I had the two interviews and the first one was very engaging and thoughtful, I think the interviewer liked me, but never hinted at it. My second interview was with a Googler that was once a BOLD intern and after the interview they said that they definitely recommend me for the position (I knocked that interview out the park!). I was happy but also skeptical, because the selection process also tried to eliminate bias.
Don’t think too much into it because if you do, your mind will come up with reasons as to why you didn’t get it. Live life, hang out with friends, apply to other internships, go to the gym, spring break, but whatever you do, be with someone you love and that loves you (and that doesn’t have to be a SO, it can be your best friend or family). Remember that your value isn’t chosen by Google or any other company.
- The dates I was given to start are in mid-May, early-June and mid-June. But, I've seen the dates vary.
As always, if you need help, advice or motivation, let me know! You got this,
@HeadInTheClouds I see that great that they said that to you at the end of your interview. I did not get those responses but I did get a “If you get in I would love to connect with you and show you around” from one of my interviewers. I’m trying not to but right now this is popping into my head and not letting me think straight… I wonder if you do get an offer they will reach out to you fast, rather than delaying it. I read on one of the comments above that they send out rejection emails the first week of april so that makes me nervous. I would love to connect with you on LinkedIn, if you okay with that. I’ll msg you separate. thanks!
Im curious to know too! This is the department I want so bad!
I read on the Google BOLD Q&A that this year they are recruiting “through April.” Maybe it’s possible that recruiting will go on later this year!
Hey y’all, if you are a serious candidate after interviews, it will take a while to hear back, if you aren’t a serious candidate, it will take a while. So find peace in that!
