Hi when did the person you know who got the BOLD internship interview?
Just received my supplemental! (I applied October 8th and am not immersion)
Anyone know what locations are best for People Operations or have the best programs? Also, anyone know if they help with housing? That will impact which locations I choose because of housing cost.
The FAQ states that Google will assist with relocation should you need to move for the internship. They do not go into detail as to how much they’ll provide although I have read in past posts that an intern had received $9,000 for relocation so that he could find housing in the Bay Area.
I submitted my application on October 22nd. I have not received my supplemental yet and have grown pessimistic about the prospect of my application being put through the next round. Should I be hopeful?
In my personal experience, It took about 2-3 weeks for me to receive my supplemental from the point that I had applied in early October. It may take a bit longer now since I’d imagine a lot of people submitting their applications towards the deadline a few days ago.
Hello. I received my supplemental form three days after I applied for the internship. Every recruiting office is different. My point of contact maybe had less applications to look through, because I applied mid-September. I would just be patient, because you don’t know what their process is and how long it takes. Hang in there.
Anyone hear anything new?
I haven’t
Hi! I applied back in early October and got my supplemental today. Does anyone know the odds of getting an interview if you received a supplemental, or does mostly everyone who applied also get the supplemental email? Trying not to get overly excited!
@wildcat90 , how were you able to see people viewed your doc?
Hi, has anyone been specifically denied yet?
I hate how tech internships are so late, Facebook has barely opened there’s! I have offers from big 3 consulting but I’m wondering whether I should take a leap of faith on Google and wait hahaha
@ovrwrkdstudent12 My friend received a rejection email two days ago and he also received a supplemental.
Ooooo that’s good to know they are at least actively rejecting people. I got an offer from a competing tech company which is hype but I’m still hoping for Google so fingers crossed. The application window is closed which is a good thing!
@ovrwrkdstudent12 any specifics on what divisions they got the rejection from?
Anyone rejected after receiving their supplementals yet?
I’m still in and haven’t heard of anyone else in here get rejected. The only people I’ve seen get accepted have been BOLD immersion participants and MLT Prep fellows. With applications now closing I’m hoping to maybe see some movement after thanksgiving. Hopefully? Ahahaha
@parkcentral I don’t know. @CoolSpark What division did your friend receive a rejection for?
Also, have you seen this article about a BOLD intern! https://www.cnn.com/2019/10/02/success/google-intern/index.html
It says Google received over 125,000 applications as of early october!? No wonder we haven’t heard back
Even though I haven’t gotten an e-mail, I think I might be in the rejection pile. On the application portal, my app moved from “submitted” to “past applications”.
You’re not out of the running yet, Google moves all applications after 30 - 90 days. If you haven’t been rejected then relax, breath, you got this, we got this! https://support.google.com/googlecareers/answer/6095391?hl=en
