<p>I apologize if I came out sounding harsh. The truth is once your accepted, you are basically “forced” to enter the college your accepted to.</p>
<p>I think what you were asking or maybe I misinterpreted was, why do people choose to rank Revelle higher than the other 5 colleges? I think for the most part the people who decide to rank Revelle as first are often ignorant and think that Revelle will look great for getting into med school. Revelle has a reputation of having a ton of pre-med students, which I can understand because alot of Revelle’s requirements are also requirements for entrance into med school, so many people say well why not, I get rid of 2 things at once. The other reason is that other people were not as fortunate into getting into the other colleges they had ranked higher and and may have ended up getting placed into Revelle. And the final reason, some people may have just randomly ranked colleges.</p>
