GPA importance?

I might be applying EA to Georgetown. My ACT is a 34, and SAT is 2220. However, i’m not in the top 10% of my class (i am in the top 25%). I am strong activity-wise, with officer positions in 2 clubs, and I placed 4th in a state-level jazz competition. Do I have a good chance at Georgetown, or should I think about EAing elsewhere?

I would EA elsewhere, Georgetown has stated that Early Action gives no benefit in admissions except that of knowing earlier.

You can EA to Georgetown and elsewhere - you just can’t ED. So EA wherever you want (unless the other school you are applying to won’t let you have multiple EA apps).

I would go EA at your top choice school. Luckily Georgetown allows you to do EA elsewhere as well, so you can apply to a few less selective schools EA for more piece of mind too. For example, I was accepted EA at Georgetown, as well as Notre Dame, BC, and Elon because I had my applications done then.

Thanks for all the help, i think ill apply EA to Gtown, but also to some of my attainable schools.
