GPA/Letter Grade Determination

My educational organization uses the following letter grade conversions from percents:

80 – 100: A
65 – 79: B
50 – 64: C
0 – 49: F

Does this mean I have a 4.0 GPA? Or am I still subject to the same conversions as others when applying to colleges?

Well-- are your percent grades listed on your transcript? Does your school rank?
If percent grades are listed without rank, your grades will probably be converted. If rank is given-- the actually GPA doesn’t matter that much.

It is important that you are taking very difficult classes, and if your school doesn’t rank and/or given percentages then your recommendations and SAT are given more weight.

So no-- it won’t really give you an advantage.
