I’m trying to get my GPA up and I want to know where i’m at currently. My school goes on a 5.0 scale and we use this website called aspen which says that my GPA in 9th grade was a 2.5385. Im in 10th grade now and get my 3rd semester report card in about a week and so far I have a 3.0000. How would I go about figuring out my gpa on a 4.0 scale? Hopefully its not too low to ruin my chances for college but I did really well for 3rd quarter and am gonna keep going well hopefully.
Thanks for any answers
You don’t. Unless a college asks you to convert (which is very rare outside of the UC’s), your GPA is whatever it says on your transcript.
I think the 5 point scale is common enough that you should not have to worry. There should be converters online, I will let you know if I find one ![]()
edit:
You could do it proportionally, (ex. 3/5 = x/4) but I’m not sure if that’s correct.
If you feel like it, you could enter your grades into a calculator (like this: http://gpa-calculator.net/) and choose the scale you want.
