<p>Often, schools will decide to make another GPA measurement, accounting for the differences in difficulty for certain classes. They might assign an extra point value to AP/IB/DE/Honors and recalculate GPA. That’s weighted. Unweighted is standard scale (most commonly 4.0 scale, but sometimes 100% or 4.3).</p>
