I’m an international student and i recently gained admission for fall at Missouri University S&T to read Petroleum Engineering at graduate level: kindly advice me on the following questions -

I need about USD 30,000 for the first session, and from the look of things I will only have USD 20,000 by fall. Is there a possibilty of securing any other form of support from the institution, based on apposite research I noticed that aids are not available to internationals. Also, I observed that there is a significant chance to secure a TA which may result in a tuition waiver for my second semester: if this is possible I may not need to have all the funds before proceeding to MST otherwise the task gets Herculean. Is it logical to proceed with the funds I have or look elsewhere?

Employment opportunities for petroleum engineering grads at MST: Please what are the chances of securing employment after graduation? Having worked in the oil and gas for indigeneous and multinationals for about 5 years in design engineering field could this be a leverage that may boost my chances while I understand that my performance in class is extremely important. All advice is welcomed and I’ll be glad to hear from students in MST grad school currently.
