Grade Change

How do your grades change every quarter during a school year?

For me, first quarter is my worst quarter (boo midyear reports) since I need to get used to the classes and the teachers grading patterns. My first quarter grades are particularly bad this quarter because of the stress from colleges and parents…

It actually depends on the classes that I have in the Fall and Spring semesters. I know for a fact that my dedication to school work has dropped a bit from Jan-March due to robotics, missing 3 weeks of school, coming home really late, and being not really focused, so that really effects 3rd quarter stuff, but I usually manage to pull everything together by 4th.

I’m usually an excellent student during the whole first semester. It really depends on the workload though. Last year I had almost ALL electives first quarter, so of course I had straight As. Then 2nd quarter I was screwed with all of the heavy-workload classes at the same time + robotics. It looks to be that way again this year, but eventually you have to learn to balance, given any circumstance, or else your grades will feel the pain.
