Grade Replacements and Private Colleges

<p>I know that private colleges and universities all look at the applications differently. I got a C during a semester of AP Caluclus. If I were to retake the class again and got a better grade, how would that be considered? Would I be wasting my time retaking the class (whether at my school again or at a community college)? </p>

<p>Would a grade like that in math horribly impact my application if I were to major in say, English or History and have excelled in APs of those subjects?</p>

<p>Most private colleges don’t consider major as the vast majority change majors a few times. Most schools won’t let you retake a C.</p>
