Grade vs. AP Score
Hi,
I’m curious about grade inflation and deflation relative to my own school How did your AP scores compare to the grades you received in the class? I will include mine below.
Freshman year:
AP Spanish Lang (not native speaker)- 5, A, A
Sophomore Year:
AP Spanish Lit- 5, A+, A+
AP Human Geo- 5, A+, A+
AP Psych- 5, A, A
For AP Biology, Chemistry, and English Literature, I got 4s on the exams and As in the classes (no A+ at my school). I also self-studied AP Calculus BC (4), AP Statistics (3), AP US Government (3), and AP US History (4). This was all in my junior year. Overall, my scores weren’t great because I procrastinated a lot and probably tried to do too many things in one year. I got college credit for all of the 4s, so it turned out okay.
(note we don’t have A+s in our grading system)

Sophomore year (predicted):
AP Calc BC: 5, A, A
AP Comp Sci A: 5, A, A
AP Studio Art 2D: 4, A, A
Freshman Year:
AP World History: 5, A, A
Sophomore Year (this year so no scores yet)
AP Biology: B, B
APUSH: A-, A
