Alwaysamom, thanks for the heads up, lol.

In the memorium, they didnt mention Don Cornelius and Etta James.

Pardon my French, but all I can say to Nicky Minaj is ***?

W T ___?

Where the heck did Nicky Minaj come from? Never heard of her before. Seems like a Lady Gaga/Madonna wannabe.

I don’t understand Nicki Minaj’s appeal. She’s not a good rapper (and I do like female rappers), she’s not a good singer, she’s not even that pretty (not to be shallow… but let’s be honest, that’s why a lot of “artists” are famous), she’s not particularly shocking, she doesn’t put on a good show.

Somebody please explain the appeal!

Without the talent.

The first time I ever saw/heard Nicki Minaj was on SNL. I didn’t get her then and I don’t get her now.

“Where the heck did Nicky Minaj come from? Never heard of her before. Seems like a Lady Gaga/Madonna wannabe”

Haha! You must not be listening to Rap/Hop Hop!

And she’s from Queens…like me…and LL …swoon…

“Somebody please explain the appeal!”

I can’t explain it, but she’s makin’ paper!

I think she adds something to the collaborations she does, and ALL the hip hop artists seem to want to collaborate with her.

Ya’ll aren’t ruining it for us, I think it is more about making sure to catch the good performances, not the suspense of the awards. I did not even know I should watch for the commercials!.

I’d never seen Bruno Mars, the only Bruno I knew was the judge on DWTS (not me, my parents!) but Bruno M- very pretty to look at and the retro band moves are fun.

Should I join you in music hell since I don’t care for the Beatles?

I’m so glad to know I’m not the only one! DH and DD think I’m absolutely nuts. I can’t help it … I just don’t like them. I do like John Lennon, though.

Does Paul McCartney have to pay the Jackson estate to sing these songs.

Abby Road - what a great album.

How could you not like “Rubber Soul”?

[Bruno Mars discography - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Bruno Mars discography - Wikipedia)

His big break was “Nothing On You” with B.o.B. Not sure how he feels about that…Thinking of that SNL performance…

Looks like his next break is on “Breaking Dawn”. Good for him…

I also first saw Bruno Mars on SNL and fell in love with him instantly. I can’t think of a single song of his that I don’t like.

Big ending with Paul McCartney, Bruce Springstreen, Dave Grohl, and Joe Walsh.

Bruno Mars is an amazing (and IMO, underrated) talent. He’s one of those that can appeal to numerous different audiences and seems to have a lot of class.

I like John, too, and I’m enjoying the shots of Paul and his new wife in the audience.

It’s nice to know that I’m not the only one who isn’t a fan of the Beatles or Paul M.

I thought I was the only one who didn’t really care for the Beatles. Don’t care for Elvis, either.

I love the Beatles but not Paul’s solo stuff. He was smart tonight to do the Beatles rather than his own stuff.

I have always loved Elvis. I remember the day he died like it was yesterday. I was in Washington D.C. with my youth group. I love his cheesy movies as much as I love his music. My aunt and I took a road trip to Mississippi a couple of years ago to visit relatives and stopped in Tupelo on the way back to visit Elvis’ birth place.

Okay…so I just saw Taylor S…I think my surprised look might be convincing. Not sure why she gets a pass and Nicki Minaj doesn’t. Humph .
