Airing right now in ET. 2 episodes tonight.
What’s ET?

Watching!
I liked the cake with the roses inside. I didn’t get the concept of the pie cake.
I feel like after just the first episode I know who the winner should be (never felt that way in the previous seasons). Let’s see if I am right.
I enjoyed the bread episode. I think the winner will be a guy.
DH watched for the first time last night and is now hooked! He bakes a lot for his team and colleagues at work, which is as close to a hobby as he gets. So glad I flipped the channel there!
I can’t find it on our cable anywhere :(. All the episodes showing (pbs) are old seasons. Sure hope I can find episodes somewhere!
Is this on the cooking network?
PBS- check your local one. Ours has it, season 5 is new to the US, aired 6 years ago in Britain per PBS site.
Thanks. I saw the year and season and just assumed they were old repeats!
Thanks for the link. I watched the first one and really enjoyed it. I was sad, though not surprised, by who went home.
When I look on Demand I see 7 seasons, with season 7 having 2017 dates. I’m confused
The show being aired currently in the USA (show in the UK in the past) is on PBS.
You can watch the episodes on the PBS website. https://www.pbs.org/show/great-british-baking-show/
Aired in UK in 2012, is actually season 3. Not previously available on netflix.
My college age daughter got us all hooked on the show. Now my husband even watches. We missed it Friday night when it aired on our local PBS station, but were able to watch the “Cake” episode online.
Love the show and have watched all available seasons. My one complaint is I feel like they have a “formula” for choosing the contestants. A very young baker, an elderly baker, an unsure of herself baker… I’ll have to rewatch it to remember her name, but the woman in the season currently playing (shortish bob cut) is this season’s Ruby (and Paul seems to have a thing for her).
In the season that they started showing last week the contestants seemed less diverse than some previous ones - a group of young people in the 21-26 age range (usually just one young person), no real ethnic person (to add strong ethnic flavors in their baking), and no strong irish or scottish accent. But yes there are the usual stereotypes also - the science guy, the unsure woman, the grandpa guy, etc.
