Highs in 80s in Florida next 7 days forecast.

I just was in Florida a few weeks ago… and naturally it was cold. It was like fifty, lol. Went all the way there for that!

Sorry about the cool weather in Florida…we had some cold stuff last few weeks. Hope you at least had some sunshine while visiting!

I had to turn the AC on for a little while yesterday.

I’d rather have snow than temps pushing 80. Well, maybe not mountains of snow, but a little dusting would be nice.

the snow in my yard is deeper then my patio furniture. It would be higher then my table if there wasn’t a roof over it.

I’m just so over this whole winter. I took a vacation to get away from it and the cold followed me. At least I missed two storms while I was gone… lol.

I just can’t believe I’m currently stuck. It’s supposed to be a little warmer later this week so hopefully some melts. I’m going crazy.

Thank goodness I can work from home.

Hasn’t started snowing here, yet. It’s obviously waiting until I have to drive to other side of city for my PT appointment. As of yesterday we have had 10th snowiest February ever and already have more snow this season than our average yearly total.

My town does a fantastic job of plowing the roads, but backing out of driveway is very scary.

My road is plowed but it’s only half it’s normal width due to all the snow, so nobody can park on it. You’d be in the middle of the street.

My alley on the other hand has only need plowed a few times all winter, so it’s tiny and a big mix of ice snow ice

7-8 more inches forecast for today. Sigh…

Hopefully you get less sue. We were supposed to get two to four today and it looks like we got one or two.

I’m on a plane, but the weather channel says snow in my part of CT hasn’t started yet. The “heavy snow” has been downgraded to light snow. Lots of business and school cancellations in CT. Is this turning into a dud storm (I hope so)?

I think so, thumper. Very, very light snow just started here. Predicted 2-4" but I’m skeptical.

We are not allowed to park on the streets of my town between Oct and April. They even have the mini plows that do the sidewalks. The cities (Albany, Schenectady, Troy) are a whole other ballgame.

thumper, from my office window it looks around 3 inches. Of course that doesn’t necessarily mean anything since you’re in another part of the state!

thumper: It actually started snowing in central CT by 8am, and it’s coming down pretty good now. But this time, the western part of the state should get less, I think. The weather forecasters keep revising how much snow we’ll get, so I have no clue until the storm’s over.

I guess this is one time it pays to be in the NW corner! VH…sorry to hear there is MORE snow in your neck ofmth woods. You too shell.

If only the predictions between the middle of the night and late am could match.

45 minutes before my first class at 2pm, UCONN cancels for the rest of the day. Life is good.

We are getting pretty heavy snow but it looks so peaceful. I’m just glad I don’t have to travel. Supposed to get around 3-6.

Peaceful and beautiful, yes. Funny thing: I was out just before it started and very few were on the local roads. But up by the local college gym, the streets packed with parked cars. I guess, in addiiton to last minute milk and bread, folks want to cram in their exercise

What little snow we got today has ended. Didn’t even stick so roads were fine, though a bit of spray on highway. Forecast calling only for rain next few days. Hate the dreariness but I’ll take anything as long as its not more snow!

Well,

H and I arrived home at 1:00AM this morning from Florida. Everything was great until we arrived at the airport, only to find that our flight to Chicago had been cancelled. They phoned us at home to let us know.

Anyhow, we were rebooked to Nashville at 7:10 PM, because they had an 8:10 flight to Midway that had not been cancelled. It left late, but we were able to get standby and arrived home ~1:00AM, after digging out the car, and then the driveway to get in the house.

Work was not fun today!

I wasnt to say, the folks at Southwest were super to us.

Just got done helping a neighbor who got stuck in her half of our alle. wound up pushing her out with this other neighbor guy. She had rear wheel drive and was just spinning her wheels… for an hour
