<p>They’ve now revised it down to 5-8". Pray, do a warm dance, meditate, whatever you believe in for this to be a MILD storm! (Please) </p>
<p>The commute to Ann Arbor was terrible. We have a good inch of ice under the snow and it’s just supposed to get worse. We’re worried about getting stranded out here lol</p>
<p>No one is going anywhere here. It’s a Level 3 emergency. I think we should all change our thumbnail pictures to show what we’re experiencing. </p>
<p>Well, we only got a couple of inches here overnight, but my 2 stage monster snowblower could not handle the wetter parts. South of us, where my Dad lives, they got six inches. I spent last night trying to arrange for my nephew to shovel there, as I live over an hour away and have a chest cold. BUT that 50degree day sure was nice! To is very pretty out, as the snow clings to branches, but really, we have had enough of this sort of beauty.</p>
<p>And thundersnow this morning!!!</p>
<p>54 yesterday–a heat wave 
It felt soooo good. Today, 8" heavy wet snow, with ice under it and now 30 mph winds. Electricity has been off this morning. Of course no school. I fear I will never see my grass again.</p>
<p>Just rain here so far this morning but not doing anything at the moment. Forecast is a changeover late this afternoon to freezing rain/sleet/wet snow. Yuck. Tomorrow temps are going to be in the 'teens. :(( </p>
<p>We got 60s and rain in the forecast for this afternoon…then 22 for tonight. teens tomorrow.</p>

<p>They’ve downgraded us from 6 to 10 inches of snow to 3 to 6 inches. It’s sleeting right now. My friend and I went out to run earlier. We walked at first, and I slipped on the ice. If my friend hadn’t grabbed my arm, I would have gone down. We skipped the running and just walked gingerly. Sigh. Even in Maine, we should have clear roads by now!</p>

<p>And it’s only supposed to get worse. I’m considering just camping out in Ann Arbor tonight… getting a hotel room or something seems preferable to going on the roads! </p>
<p>Someone called in on the radio this morning and said they were in the Ren Cen and couldn’t see Windsor. </p>
<p>Whoa - what an amazing picture, Romani! It’s just starting here in west-central NH. We’re now in the 18-24" range. Along with everyone else, I’m so tired of this winter.</p>

<p>I think we’re still in ~6" forecasted but there’s just a good inch or so of ice under it because of the rain last night.
The snow plowers said this is the worst we’ve been hit yet because of the ice. They also said tomorrow morning might be WORSE because of the negative temps tonight. </p>
<p>You to Romani! Of course the ski areas up here are thrilled. I wonder if we’ll see “summer skiing” this year? :)) </p>

<p>I went to my chiropractor this morning and we were talking about the snow. This is now the 2nd snowiest winter on record for Detroit. He said it should keep snowing so we could take gold. I told him I was perfectly content with silver! This is a gold medal Detroit does not need to win!</p>
<p>Eta: A friend posted this: "Today I observed a bulldozer attempting to plow a parking lot. However, it was spinning its wheels so much that it couldn’t even get into the lot. " I think that pretty much sums up this winter. </p>
<p>They cancelled our schools yesterday at 6:00 p.m. I can’t remember that ever happening when my kids were in school although it makes it nice for the parents and planning. It sounds like it was a good call.</p>
