Great....more snow!

Compromise: we can get the gold on a weekend when most people don’t have to drive! lol

I can’t believe the pictures Romani! This weather is crazy- I am in So. Calif. and it is 75 with high winds. It is supposed to be 85 over the weekend. We have had almost no rain and are in the midst of a severe drought. Strawberries are a huge crop here and growers were recently told they will not have water to irrigate crops during the next planting season. It will have a huge impact on the area’s economy. Too bad we can’t have some of the moisture that the rest of the country is seeing! Hard to believe, but I am sick of warm weather! I would love to have a nice long rainstorm. It’s not looking good.

I did okay with the weather today, though my fiance didn’t even try to drive our focus and called off work, and he dropped me off at work in the edge. The edge could handle these roads no problem. We didn’t seem to have much ice, just slush. I’ve heard the roads have gotten worse since this morning, so I am glad I am getting picked up later. I will never be without an AWD car again so long as I can afford it.

I do NOT want to win the gold on a weekend, I have to visit crazy cake lady in Ann Arbor on Saturday and hunt for purple cardstock-- and the roads are ALWAYS worse in Ann Arbor. My bridal shower is the first weekend in April and it’s in this glass enclosed room on the river…we’ve been joking that we’ll be watching icebergs drift by. And to think six months ago I was afraid it might be hot.

Still just a cold rain at my house. I heard some places just north of me have started to get freezing rain. The good part is the rain is washing away some of the snow. I can see grass in my yard in places.

Ema, I hope it’s a beautiful spring day for your shower.

CT reporting in. It’s not even raining here…yet. I think the worst of this is going north of here. The temps are supposed to plummet…again…and that is just as bad as more snow. I’m sick of single digit temps!

I think we’re getting what you’re not, @thumper1 Heavy snow all day long and it’s supposed to get heavier as the evening moves along. And then we too get the cold temps - yuck.

So I got stuck IN the commuter lot. Once the traffic person helped get me out, the roads were wet but ok. The freeway was horrible. Took side roads instead and wet but ok.

The winds haven’t picked up and the temperatures haven’t fallen yet. It’s almost nice right now lol.

Oh my gosh! I’m leaving soon myself although I only live 5 miles from the campus where I work. it’s been snowing all day and I think I’m the last occupant of my building… I’m glad you’re safe.

Oy, good luck BT! Please make it home safe (and report in when you get there!)

I can hear the wind picking up. It’s hitting my window pretty hard now.

I can see ice droplets on my trees, but walk, driveway and road still just wet. I think the warmer weather we had the last few days is preventing a lot of ice on the ground.

Good luck on your drive home, BT!

It’s still RAINING in Maine. What the heck? I would prefer snow.

Careful what you wish for, ML!

On a side note, I’m changing my avatar pic in a sec. I told my mom I was cold and miserable outside and she sends me a picture of my dog wrapped in an electric blanket! -.-

Just came in from second round of shoveling. Awful! So much snow, so much drifting! Whose idea was it to live on a double, corner lot with a long main driveway and a circular on the side??!! Snowblower is failing so D and I just did about 75 mins by hand. Asking a break then will head out again. Drifts of 2 feet people! Actual snow, not sure, but I’m guessing we got the 8 they predicted.

You’re a trooper, abasket. Just be careful- I’ve seen a lot of people coming into the hospital with shoveling-related mishaps and injuries.

I think we got less than they predicted, but with all the drifting snow, I haven’t the slightest idea how much we DID get!

Our weather forecast keeps changing. Apparently we could get an inch or so overnight. I’m just going to look out my window in the morning to see.

Ugh!! wet, heavy snow. Mine was the only school open in our area. Most of my town was w/o power, and lots of NW IN/NE IL whhere I am, are still w/o power, and the temps are tumbling.

LED traffic lights? Not good in cold/snowy weather.

I’m heading out in a second to do deck round 1. We have about a foot with about a foot more expected. I’m pretty much done with all this. The drive home wasn’t too bad - thanks! We just took it slow. Why does it seem easier driving home in the snow when it’s not dark???

BT: where do you live? A foot and another foot expected?!? This is crazy!

New Hampshire! On the western border with Vermont. Wow, we’re getting slammed. I just finished shoveling the deck and wow, it’s such a heavy, wet snow this time around. I work for a college and we had power flickers this afternoon - at least one person’s computer won’t start now because of it. There are power outages all over town. So far knocks wood we’re okay but I’m thankful for our wood stove and a gas range.

BT, glad you didn’t lose your power. I think we got about 2" is snow on top of a little bit of sleet. My street has been plowed but road still doesn’t look great. Schools on 2 hour delay around here. It looks bitter cold out and it’s very windy. Waiting to hear if we are playing tennis this morning.
