According to a reply posted by TrilliumCB a year ago, admission decisions were released on April 27th last year for ILR. Hopefully, it will be around the same time this year!!!

For some reason I thought Figgy (and a few others) found earlier than that last year via phone call (ILR). I might be wrong though.

A phone call? I’m assuming that’s only for GT’s and I have to wait it out and find out the normal way…

I have my ILR interview this Tuesday (Ian had to cancel it twice). Any tips on what it will be like?

I called Cornell yesterday, and lucky I did because they said my application was incomplete, which I found to be absolutely crazy!!! They said they did not have my college transcript (which was sent out by my current school Feb. 5) and my college official’s report (sent out a little after the transcript). I had to go through craziness with the registrar’s office and luckily they’re gonna resend my transcript - for free. As for my college official’s report (luckily, I kept a copy!), they said they still haven’t finished processing stuff yet, so it actually might be there, but they haven’t filed it or something. I asked whether they’ve given out usernames and passwords for applicants to check their application status, and they said yes, to which I replied that I never received mine. They said then that it will come soon. I’m just a little upset that I’m just now learning of this now, when I was expecting to here decisions soon, and I’m a bit worried because I have to withdraw from where I am currently and get my housing deposit refund all within a certain time and school for me gets out May 2. I just hope it won’t be long before they send out decisions.

The ILR transfer student interview should go smoothly as long as you’re able to express an interest in the ILR curriculum and explain why you want to attend Cornell. Peruse through the website, note courses and professors that you are interested in, etc.

lavendergraces, what number did u call at cornell? Wait…so, they did have your apps but didn’t bother to email you giving you accounts and everything? weird…i called the transfer processing center and the lady just told me to wait, nothing more.

I called both the 607 255 5241 and 4833 number and asked for my application status and stuff. Yeah they said they had a lot of my materials other than the college transcript and college official’s report, but said that they are still processing. I think they’ve been falling behind or something because of the many freshman applications they had this year, which has been their highest…it always increases each year. Anyway, I remember being a little upset when I saw on the website that they had pushed the transfer app deadline to March 31, because I knew that meant a longer time later for decisions, and more waiting.

This is weird because I have a GT to CALS and I too haven’t heard anything. Does calling them, actually help?

lavendergraces, how terrible! I don’t blame you for feeling a little upset at all.

lavendergraces–What’s the college your GT is in, again (did you tell that info. on the board?). That’s disturbing that you weren’t informed yet of any gaps in your app. materials. My S was told that Admissions would notify him if they were missing anything (like the transcript from his current college, etc.). That’s scary.

diehldun–Yes; we did have family with us last night in Ithaca, but not my S with the GT. He’s still at school slugging away…

btw: The meal was delicious. We went to ZaZa’s Cucina. The atmosphere is just as it looks on their website: [ZaZas Cucina](Discover Your Inner Chef - PlayingWithFireAndWater.com)

Oh, and yes. We’ve been to the Mahogany Grill also! Sampled quite a few places in Ithaca, though not nearly all. Yes; we live close enough to Ithaca to make dinner there on a Sat. night a reasonable thing to drive there and do. (The restaurants and indy movie houses are worth the drive). We’re not right next door to them, though.

As long as we’re talking Ithaca–some of you might not know that their mall (yes; there’s really only one major shopping mall (as Ithacans would prefer, is my guess), though lots of plazas and smaller boutique-style shopping)–anyway the mall has upgraded recently to those stadium seating kinds of multi-plex movie theaters. I think there are something like 12 or 14 theaters with the roomier stadium-style seating. I was glad to see that! Ha.

my GT is for CAS (College of Arts and Sciences)

and yes, calling does help if they haven’t contacted you about anything yet. Otherwise, you’ll be left clueless and expecting of your admissions decisions when/if your application wasn’t even complete.

Lavendergraces, so you didn’t even receive the e-mail telling you to set up an account online? It’s a good thing you called then.

yeah i didnt…did you?

and if so, when?

wow…this website definitely just reversed my posts…it’s supposed to be: Yeah, I didn’t…did you? and if so, when?

lavendergraces, several of us did about a week or so ago (see a few pages back in this thread). Kind of pointless, though, as it didn’t reveal any new information.

If I haven’t heard anything from CALS about my application status, should I call the admissions office? Or should I wait?

indigo, you should probably call

i called again today and they are hoping to have decisions go out by the end of this month or early may…now i only asked generally for transfers…it might still apply to us GTs, but it may be earlier
