Sometimes when I’m sleeping over my friend’s house, I just start crying at night time. I feel that I am very mature and masculine, but do you know those times where you miss your Mommy? I have to call her to make me feel better, because I get homesick very easily. It’s really weird though. She screams at me in a MurKestenbaum like voice, “Go read Matt Christopher. It’s good for the liver.” All of a sudden, I pick up Hoop Dreams and I feel better about myself.

What the hell? Seriously?

Uhh… how old are you?

I’m a junior in high school

lol @ you nick. but seriously, um, i dont know what to say

does it happen at the same persons house? whos?

and…lol @ 17 and being a jr.

dude murry kestenbaum knows whats going on- its all about matt christopher, hank herman, mike lupica, and representing the black side of the family—walter dean myers (great author) dude you gotta read SLAM! by Hank Herman- fantastic imagery, engaging characters and a twisting plot- sick----if you’re feeling down just go to umass with sammy or pick up a good old calvin and hobbs- good for the pancreas like mr lazaroff

yeah slam is good. anything WDM is good also.

What kinda books are these? I googled em to no avail.

wait a minute, is lazaroff the orchestra teacher?

No, that’s Lazar lol. He dies like 2 motnths ago.

And I’m not laughing at the fact that he died. He was just, let’s say, he was slightly intense a la Dockie Curban.

“If you wanna succeed on the mound, you gotta rip up the grass. That’s my boi, Mookie.”

Inspirational Quoye

12 posts in 20 mins. Nice stuff.

Why don’t you dedicate your 100th post to powdered milk?

That happened to me at my last sleepover, but I was 7 then.

Maybe you are just more mature than me. At least I have the courage to admit my faults. You think I can actually read Hank Herman?

wait a sec…juniors have sleepovers? thats crazy

^What the. You’ve never slept at a friend’s house in high school?

not at a “sleep over”…

after a party when driving anywhere wouldn’t be the safe thing to do, yes.

um, to the OP i would say that yes, it is slightly weird. better solve your homesickness before you go to college!!!

I’m doing ym best athenegoddess. Maybe, you could help me overcome my fear?
