Thought of this thread when I was in the security line in Detroit this morning. Boy did I almost see it all - ALL of a women’s behind! This younger woman with a generous booty (and was not on the slim side) had a pair of jeans that truly exposed her bottom and waist (short top) literally down to her - for lack of a better word - piggy bank (butt crack!) - she was VERY round in that area and I just couldn’t believe how much was exposed - including her tattoos in that area!
I also saw LOTS of people with flip flops. Detroit ain’t Orlando! (Morning temps were about 45) And they weren’t all traveling to Orlando either! I saw LOTS of bare feet walking through those security lines.
I don’t think I provided anyone any jawdropping moments when they looked at me.
Aside, but I was in Old Navy trying on jeans yesterday, and the lowest riders seem to be phasing out a bit in the women’s area. I actually found something that fit, covered, but was not a 'mom jean". After a few years of frustration on that front, I was very pleased.

I do believe there may be some Rap music producers who could use your skills, @basket.
I know I admitted this in another thread, but one time I was having a difficult time opening my salad dressing packet while on a plane. Somehow it squirted open, all over the woman who was sitting next to me. I was so embarrassed. I offered to give her money to have her jeans cleaned at her Caribbean hotel, but she declined.
They are soft, a slimmer (but not too tight leg), make your rear end look nice, have a comfy waistband and don’t wrinkle. The look is halfway between a pressed khaki and slacks. I am 5’9" and the medium tall works great.
Comfort, comfort, comfort. I always wear sneakers or my hiking boots (which are just as comfortable). I have poor circulation, so I need socks to feet my feet warm and not cramping. I carry a big scarf for use as a blanket/wrap. Black knit pants, patterned shirt to hide the inevitable spills, compression stockings for long trips.
Think I will need to get an ultralight down jacket – we are going to NZ this fall and it will be late winter/very early spring. Won’t be able to get away without a coat, and my regular down is pretty bulky.
We’ve carried an extra set of clothes in our carry-on baggage forever. Have been stuck with cancelled flights (and travelled with kids) long enough to be prepared.
I usually get the up-close and personal patdown since I have the stents and defibrillator and I won’t go through the machines. Yuk.
I am a down convert. Brought a pack able $40 down jacket from Costco to my SF conference. Between that and wool vest, was perfectly comfortable and everything was so light and compact. Was useful to have the jacket in cold meeting rooms too!

Oh, I get both because of my stupid knee replacement. Pre-select check in becomes meaningless, pretty much, depending on the airport and where the x-ray machines is located. Ugh.
They’re clearly shorts to me. Tacky, in kind of a bad superhero outfit way, but perfectly acceptable. Jet Blue had no problem from NY to Boston, but Boston to Seattle makes her change?
I’ve started wearing black yoga pants on long flights instead of jeans. It’s much more comfortable. It temporarily works for the weather at any destination, too.
