Haas Language Requirement

At my CC my counselor waived me into Span 2 even though ive never taken Span 1, since I already speak read and write fluently and the fact that UCB would probably not give me credit for the first semester anyway.

Wouldn’t fluent speaking, reading, and writing place you into a much higher level course than the second semester Spanish course?
