Glad you got tix! Did that just open up? I seem to recall that on the first day of sales, towards the afternoon, I could get limited / obstructed seats - I just personally chose not to go that route.
Last week they were selling limited/obstructed view seats in the orchestra and balcony. Some dates had quite a few seats in those categories. Today I noticed seats for sale in the boxes.
Ah, ok. Makes sense. I was only looking in balcony and mezzanine. Do you mind sharing what the price per ticket was? I got mine at $177 (plus of course all the taxes / fees).
$177. You’d think the limited view would be less, but alas, they know folks will pay the price.
I’ve been looking at Chicago tickets too. D and I saw the show last month in New York and I think we are both ready for some HFA support group- HamilFan Anonymous… Google- Private Bank Theater Seating Chart and Seat Views | Chicago and then select the link from tickpicks blog. This is a good story about the different views of the seats in Chicago, shows the best and worst seats to get and how bad the obstruction could be.
Particularly amusing Ham4Ham today if you didn’t see it…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPrKncJvCH0
Loved today’s Ham4Ham! Triumph got away with saying everything I’ve been thinking!
Chuckle, I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed and angry about their seats. From the charts online it appears that there are many many poor seats in that theatre.
Anecdotally, I have heard from a few actor friends who have done shows there that that is certainly the case. It is also a very large theatre so, in that respect, it will not be the same experience as seeing it at the Richard Rodgers.
The news we’ve been waiting for:

For anyone who is home tonight…“Just in, BroadwayWorld.com has learned that the musical will broadcast the trio’s final curtain call tonight on the show’s Facebook page, at approximately 10:45pm PM.”
My 20-year old D walked out this morning wearing a shirt that says “And Peggy.” I admit to spitting out a little coffee laughing when I saw it. (If anyone needs an explanation - let me know!)
Have the Hamilton FB page up and waiting…
Me too
The link on BroadwayWorld.com to the article about the live video is down, though.
The West Wing theme song!!! That was our mother son dance at Son’s wedding.
The main reason I am interested in Hamilton is because I know someone in the original cast. Otherwise, I really do not understand the complete, what seems, hysteria. I hope it calms down since several of the original casts members have left. Too late, you can’t see them live. Now settle down.
Morrismm, after the last few days we’ve had in Dallas, fun to obsess for a few minutes on musical theatre.
morrismm, I hope the “hysteria” doesn’t die down. I hope the show survives long after the original cast leaves – and I think it can, because the music, lyrics, dancing, etc., are really strong. When art can get people interested – even obsessed – with history, why wish it to go away?
We just bought the cast album about 2 weeks ago - it really is genius. The lyrics are smart, clever, poetic & downright catchy. I don’t have hopes of actually seeing the show until it comes to town in a couple years, but it will keep.
Meanwhile, I’m reading the Ron Chernow biography. I can’t help but put LMM’s face on Hamilton while I’m reading it!
