I had read that NYTimes article about Oskar Eustis. I never knew about the tragedy in his life. The unimaginable. He is a true visionary in the theater world. My D has been very fortunate to be working closely with him. She thinks he is incredible.
I didn’t have time to watch the SNL opener until today. Clean shaven Lin-Manuel has a baby face and dimples.
I am wondering if anyone has purchased tickets from the secondary market on Ticketmaster. I am looking for tickets on dates that are sold out and this option–fan to fan–is appearing. Thank you in advance!
@peacefulmom Compare prices on Stubhub, also owned by ticketmaster (who seems to control everything)
@intparent I think clean shaven Lin-Manuel looks older and less hip.
Less hip for sure.
doschicos- Can I rely on tickets purchased from Stubhub? Thanks!
Yes! Not cheap but definitely reliable, @peacefulmom. They have a lot of protections in place for buyers. I have bought on stubhub once or twice and sold on there numerous times.
Thank you!
I got my New York Hamilton tickets on Stubhub…I’ve used the service for a variety of tickets and have never had an issue. As @doschicos said, It’s not going to save you money, but it does allow you to get tickets to things you couldn’t get otherwise.
I was able to get some tickets from ticketmaster for June! Thanks for the help!
Great Performances is on!
My local PBS station is not showing it until Monday night
@intparent @doschicos - Perhaps a tad less hip, but more adorable (and, in my opinion, younger-looking) than ever. I love how starstruck and excited he gets about being part of something he looked up to so much as a child.
I miss the long hair.
Watching the PBS special, LM looks so much like his dad!
Watching it right now! Yes not in the glow or superiority of stardom. But he is still enjoyable to. See.
Ugh! It starts in an hour (west coast) and my TV can’t seem to get PBS stations. Good news, I found it was live streamed on their FB page so I don’t have to wait. It will also be on their website and app for 4 weeks.

@snowball - you might find this info useful (no waiting until Monday!)
ETA: Here is the link on the pbs page. It’s already up!

There’s a great video somewhere on YouTube from LMM’s wedding… At the reception he totally surprised his bride with a big musical number from Fiddler on the Roof… Very sweet.
@ClaremontMom I can wait until Monday; would rather watch on the big screen! Thanks for the link as I sent it to my daughter who is in South Africa. Hopefully her wifi will be strong enough at her hotel that she can watch; otherwise, she will wait until she gets home.
My son came home (who was an extra with LMM on SNL) and reported that LMM was charming and funny on set, and chatted it up with all the extras. He sang bits from “Newsies” and other shows in between takes, not in an obnoxious way, but more just to keep the energy up . And he was making a fun little rap about how cool the party was, using millennial’s slang. And he dabbed, and joked “Look at me dabbing. I’m 36.” Everyone adored him.
H had the football game on and just heard some Chicago "Hamilton " cast members sing the national anthem before the Bears game. Very cool.
