I was hoping if people who have already passed eleventh grade could give some suggestions on how to prepare for exams…stick to the ncert books or prepare from higher standard books…how to balance standardized test prep and school work…when to take SAT l,SAT II…etc.

Well, it really depends. I’m from the commerce stream, and basically what our school did is for every exam, all our questions came from the NCERT books, except accountancy and math, which were from other higher level books. The marking was also a lot tougher, so don’t worry if your % is lower in 11th. I went from a 10 CGPA in 10th to 80% in 11th. Generally CBSE school are stricter with 11th correction.
Just work hard and study everyday, and do RD Sharma for math.

Also, I took my SAT in May when my Class 12 started, but I would recommend taking it once in October of 11th and then again in May if you want to improve.
