I was just wondering, what would you guys say it the hardest AP to self study? I know it’s different for every person, yada, yada, yada…

I’ve personally never self studied any, but from my experiences and from what I’ve heard, I’d say AP Physics and AP Chem are the hardest to self study. There are so many exceptions in chemistry that usually the teacher only knows and I have yet to take AP Physics but from what the seniors are telling me, its hell (with a teacher).

It depends on previous experience.
AP Physics B is fine without previous physics experience. As long as you have at least Algebra II/Trig knowledge. Maybe some Pre-calculus.

AP Physics C without previous physics or calc knowledge would be dam hard.
AP Chem would be pretty hard too.

Any of the languages without previous experience in that language would be freaking hard.

AP Sciences are hard to replicate the labs in a self study experience. AP Languages are tough for non native speakers or for those who haven’t had the language for 4-5 years.

Personally, I’d think that one of the AP Languages would be most difficult (assuming you’re a non-native speaker). I do think that learning the sciences is possible without a teacher, but you would need a very good textbook.

I think it all depends on one’s abilities. Someone with a strong math and science background would probably find the AP sciences easier, someone with a strong humanities background would probably find AP English and Histories easier, and so on.
