Hey guys! An REA admit here, I just wanted to stop by to offer my two cents. I don’t follow this thread so please excuse me if I am being redundant. But I remember being so anxious the days and weeks leading up to D-Day. I thought there was no way I could get in, but I relied on prayers and held onto a slight sliver of hope that things will turn out okay, and they did! For those who will be admitted, congrats! D-Day will always be one of the highlights of my life. However, never let a decision put you down. You all have wonderful talents and amazing people. Some of the most loving and intelligent people I know go to a state school simply because they think it’s their best fit. College is a big deal, don’t get me wrong, but there are so many things out there! It is what you make out of your college experience. I know you are all anxious and I wish the best. You all have something to offer wherever you go, and trust me I was in your shoes. Don’t think college admissions is a judgement of your character, there are so many factors that play into the decision that no one is for sure they will get in. I have had friends denied from state schools and accepted to Northwestern, Duke, etc. It is all a crapshoot. But stay strong. I believe in you. May the Force be with you and GO CRIMSON!!!

Guys I know the letters come out today at 5pm but did all of u receive emails informing about the releasing date? I haven’t got one…

@beaglee105 As far as I know, Harvard did not release emails regarding the information about the date and time of releasing decisions, unlike Princeton, UPenn, Cornell, etc.
So not receiving it is probably not a problem, although I am expecting a rejection for myself anyway. :((
@premstudent you can’t classify yourself as Hispanic since you are not from South America. If you’re from Spain then you’re just Spanish. Sorry if this sounds rude but these kinda things are like a pet peeve to me.

@premstudent Spanish decent (i.e. from Spain) is not Hispanic. You are considered European. Hispanic is specifically South America and Caribbean. If you put that you were Hispanic it may look like you were portraying yourself falsely.

According to the US Census Bureau, “Hispanic” includes Spanish, but “Latino” does not.
