I was accepted and I was honestly not expecting it. My dream school has always been Stanford and I applied early to Harvard as a practice round. BUT I CANNOT BELIEVE I GOT IN. Anything is possible y’all. You just have to believe

Practice round of rejection so I could prepare for my Stanford rejection as well. But then a miracle happened lol
I was so sure I was gonna get deferred so I didn’t want to hype myself up. Then I checked the portal and bam! Accepted. T’was surreal. Then my friend and I went to get chocolate and he got into a car accident… He’s fine but he just got his license (he’s 18) so I don’t think he’ll be doing much driving…

I’m doing Harvard RD. Good luck to all the deferrals and congratulations to those accepted! If you were rejected, it’s not the end of the world. It’s not the “be all end all” as that Harvard senior said. We move on and succeed despite that!
I really don’t feel like giving all my stats on the results thread because I don’t want to be judged but the basics are
SAT:2120
SAT 2: 720 for bio E and 760 for history
GPA:3.89
I know my numbers aren’t the greatest but they did make me a competitive applicant. But I’m pretty sure my essay did it for me. It was unique, extremely personal and I guess the committee thought my story was different enough that I could contribute something to Harvard
