Someone stated that they have an interview soon and wanted to know what it meant. When my interviewer called me she said the admissions office wanted the interview done by the 6th. I don’t think that means I’m getting any special extra look though.

@NParker for people in the anglosphere, I doubt that.
For other internationals, I have no idea whatsoever. But there are rumors of that among East Asian applicants who apply from countries with many applicants.

@arijits Skype interviews are only for international applicants. Domestic applicants can only interview face-to-face. Canada and the UK might also be face-to-face.

I’ll probably find myself finishing All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy, one of the few required readings for SL Lit that I’ve actually enjoyed because of how much I love McCarthy as an author. The Blind Owl by Sadeq Hedayat and The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga are next on the waitlist

funny that Boof e koor (The blind owl) is somewhat banned in Iran. There are censored versions, but the original is rare . A friend of mine has it, but he has not been particularly forthcoming with lending it to me.
