Is it a bad thing if I have not yet received my official letter in the mail? @MaybeHarvard2022 @Telluric ??
I have heard that the letter is the official certification of admission, and my friends think that because there is a delay in me receiving mine, my friends say that Harvard may be looking into me? I literally have no clue what this means but is it a possibility? Are there others that have not yet received their letter in the mail?
@Hoikulik123 How long it takes for the letter to arrive is purely a function of where you live and how easily they can mail it to you. So long as you gave them the correct mailing address it’ll find its way to you.
Are you based in the USA or abroad? I’m an international student - it took a good few weeks for the letter to finally make it’s way to me. If your student portal says “Congratulations!”, you’re in, don’t worry 
If you don’t get anything in couple weeks, I would call up the office and make sure their address on record is correct, could be a mix up somewhere. Mail is also slow around the holiday season.
@Hoikulik123 I haven’t received my official letter either. I’m pretty sure this is because I live in Iran, though.
If you have received the online acceptance message via the portal, then you do not have to worry about whether or not you received the actual mail. You are in and will be attending Harvard next Fall. Besides, the mail package only has the same letter that was stated in the portal, plus a nice certificate of acceptance and a Harvard sticker. The rest of the info you’ll find online.
I read on the Harvard Gazette article that announced EA admits that admissions will be sending personalized notes to all EA admits to tell them what they liked in their app/encourage them to attend Harvard.

I’ve got a question. Did others also get a personal note/letter from their admissions officer? My admissions officer has left a note in my acceptance packet and it is sooo sweet. Made my day!
^Yes, a lot of SCEA admits get Christmas card with personal note from their AOs. I imagine international admits have something similar. Its a great touch by Harvard AOs.
Ahhhhhhh I am anxiously awaiting my letter and I hope there is a nice note but I have not received it yet!!! It is strange since I am an international but not nearly as far from Harvard as a place like Iran! @Hoikulik123 I’m in the same boat as you bro, LOL. I’m from Canada and also starting to wonder if something’s gone wrong…Let’s hope the admissions package arrives before New Year!
