Rejected, not upset at all, though

Here it is!! Haha, I thought it’d come out at 5. I was writing another email and suddenly Inbox (3) became Inbox (4)… it’s finally real.

I am delighted to inform you that the Committee on Admissions and Financial Aid has voted to admit you to the Class of 2015. Please accept my personal congratulations for your outstanding achievements.

This year nearly thirty-five thousand students applied for admission to the entering class. Faced with many more talented and highly qualified candidates than it had room to admit, the Admissions Committee took great care to choose individuals who presented extraordinary academic, extracurricular and personal strengths. The Committee is convinced that with your unusual qualities of mind and character you will make important contributions to Harvard and to society.

What a rush. Condolences to those rejected and good luck to those who are held over to the next round.

(Also, if I take a year off, does another waitlist space open up?)

Rejected.

rejected. Ah well. As an international student who applied as a ‘why not try, they can only say no’…being waitlisted has given me the belief to go on and do well at uni…and hopefully go somewhere like Harvard postgrad. Commiserations to everyone else who got rejected…but it’s not the end of the world!

Rejected, still waiting on Brown and Columbia ):
