Harvard Waitlist 2015 **discuss here**

Received my rejection at 5:07pm today … I’m off to Penn. Good luck to everyone else!

rejected… here i come STANFORD. (would’ve probs chosen Stanny anyhoo)

Why do I feel Harvard is giving me false hope by not having rejected me already!? Give me closure!!!

There were multiple rounds last year, and at each one you only heard if you were in or out, If you didn’t hear anything, that was Harvard’s way to say that you were on the extended (or extended-extended) wait list. That’s what happened to me last year, and I only got word at the end of June that they were offering me a spot on the Z-list. I’m guessing they’ll wrap up sooner this year with the high yield, but if you haven’t heard you probably still have a shot.

Rejected today, but that’s ok, I came to love UPenn.

^^ You’re right. I called admissions today and was told that earlier this week they accepted a few people and rejected a “large number” of waitlistees (duh…). I was also told that I’m still on the waitlist and am encouraged to send in updates of awards (but I don’t have any more!!! lol).

Rejected yesterday! Oh well my heart was never fully in it. I just got into Dartmouth off of the wait-list, and have decided to commit there. I’m so excited, Dartmouth is a dream school for me. I love so much about it.

And good news for this board, I just opened up a spot at Columbia for someone!

Wow, mostly rejections… Does anyone know how many have been accepted from the waitlist so far?

I received a z-list acceptance via e-mail (was so surprised, since they usually call first, but I live abroad). The e-mail’s date was May 17th (when most people got their responses) but strangely I only received it yesterday (via the reliable gmail). Good luck everyone.

^Altogether-my S was rejected and had enrolled at Dartmouth while he was waiting. Rejections sting but he is excited and looking forward to Dartmouth.

Good luck to all those that have remained on the wait list!

Let’s make a list of those who survived the first wave of rejections, just to get a better idea of where we stand. Copy the list and add your name. I’ll start.

Looks like we total 3 for our list? My son is waiting too. Any indication of the next, and probably final, wave of rejections?

My daughter is also waiting. I assume that there may be many more. They are just not on CC.

^^ When I spoke to the representative who answered my phone call, she told me we should hear by the first week in June. Hopefully closure is near at hand.

I would hope we would hear something any day now since someone (who got off the waitlist the last time) said on this thread earlier that he/she had to reply by last Friday…

Has anyone heard anything?

I haven’t. Unfortunately. Anyone called the admissions office lately? I would, but I dread having the lady on the phone offer to give me my status (accepted, rejected, or still on the waitlist) like she did last time.

Londongentleman, what school did you accept to?

Duke. What about your son?
