yeah it’s cooked ngl
Why is this wave different from the last wave? In the last one which happened on May 15th, people who received acceptance and rejection all happened on the same day and those who got accepted through a phone call, their portal was updated on the same day at around 7pm and not the next day.
ehh i kinda get this but also they’re likely to do calls tmr too, and anyways numbers are low, so just hope for the best but don’t expect anything.
Hi, I know this thread is mainly for first-years, but does anyone know anything about the transfer waitlist? I’ve seen literally two other people on it besides me, so any info would help! The decision date was postponed to mid-July for us, but could it possibly be even later with first-year delays? Thanks!
Yes there are usually more calls tomorrow.
It is done like this typically cause it is a larger than average wave.
Looking at years such as co2027 calls went on the day before and day of.
did this happen another year where they took off a significant number of ppl?
Only time I remember was when I was a senior (during covid). One of my classmates at FWCD was waitlisted. He got his call on a friday.
I dont think that is correct.
About FGLI students, many people say they have an advantage in the admissions game. I’m not fgli (I was fortunate to be upperclass) but I tutor many kids through the matriculate programs and what these kids have to endure is insane, and then to be told “they got it easy” or “they of course will get in” just baffles me as most of the time. These schools never really cared about FGLI students. Only reason they do is to appease donors.
But, yes harvard will most likely do more calls tomorrow.
oh shoot so would it be likely that this year is similar to covid in that its a large number of pppl??
Yes or (my personal thought) this wave will be small with a lower rejection number due to the fact Harvard cannot agree with a corrupt authoritarian leader who is currently in office, meaning they will hold on to the waitlist until july.
lol yeah that makes sense. i also saw somwhwere that harvard is collabing w univ of toronto or smth to take their intl students so idk whats happening atp
I read it’s for Harvard graduate students to continue their studies at UofT who are unable to re-enter the U.S. due to visa restrictions. This is for international students who have already completed one year at Harvard’s campus.
oh shoot my bad thats probably accurate then. but still, isn’t there expected to be more ppl off this year?
anyone get a call or have a portal update yet?
My portal just updated with the acceptance
oh i thought it updates for the entire wave at the same time? like at 7pm eastern. i was just wondering cus my portal hasnt changed yet either
They lock portals at around 12pm ET. They release decisions at 7pm ET.
Idk but my acceptance letter is there. I already accepted the offer.
