just curious, but what was different in your first vs second loci?
is anyone willing to call and ask the admissions office when their next wave of updates will be? I don’t wanna be caught with a surprise from a status update email without a call lol
I just called, a British lady answered and said it would be by tmw!
do they make the acceptance phone calls the day before or on the day of? and did she specify if they’re accepting ppl tmr or just rejecting
does the second wave only have FGLI students? or other ppl too like those who had strong advocacy calls and stuff like that
I’m unsure now due to the situation happening currently.
But yes it will probably be a lot more FGLI applicants this year off the WL.
what about non FGLI students? like middle class ish domestic applicants
A) Usually the day of around 1-4 PM based off what others have said in the past
B) They’ll be accepting and rejecting people
Call them again tomorrow. Department of state just released a new order.
I am very unsure due to the current political climate. If many FGLI international students are transferring, then they’ll admit more.
will this actually stick tho? revoking all student visas unless they respond in the next 72 hours just does not seem legal so i feel like harvard will file an injunction or sometning
No this means each visa holder has to sue.
how could they possibly resolve that in time for the wave today? can someone call them and ask if they will actually have a wave today?
Im unsure about that. I am advising one student who hasn’t got a portal update yet (lock). Maybe it will happen later in the day.
Usually during days where there is a wave the portal locks.
On top of that there is commencement today
what visual signs in the portal that you will receive decision today?
Usually your admission status part of the portal gets locked
wdym by locked?
and around when on the day of decisions does that lock occur? mine looks normals rn
