Harvard, you have been served

Maybe…she looks at a lot more than numbers. Numbers just get you a look.

Zekesima, could you provide the other factors besides SATs of 2180 versus 2340? Because, honestly, neither is a particularly great score if the applicant is Asian.

Well, in your opinion, anyway, User. There’s quite a strong possibility that there is no loss of education going on at all, or why the hell would 35,000 apply for 1700 spots?

I think the creation of a class out of this group is what is going on here, including all the majors, all the talents and all the things that Harvard wants on campus.

The federal money argument only goes so far. Do you really think the government WANTS to stop giving Harvard research grants? No.

They threaten to take away federal funds for this, that, the other all the time. They never do it. It’s symbiotic. The government is run by Harvard Grads. The courts are full of Harvard and other Ivy grads. I’d be gobsmacked if anything changed one bit.

On the other hand, if it were a better written case? I think the UNC case might go through. But nobody wants to talk about the UNC case for some reason. :)]

dstark Here we go again, another hurdle. Just imagine you are Asian, you studied hard got good grades and all your achievements are as good or better than someone else who gets acceptance letter where is the fairness in that?

Ok, I know of one special place that has created more leaders than Harvard over comparable time periods, McK. :)

Anyone wants to know how they choose their people? I think it will shock a lot of folks here hahahga

User, are you referring to a certain consulting group that recruits predominantly from Harvard alone?

User51969, you do you have an Asian cap. It is just higher, right?

“Question is, what’s important to Harvard?”

I am going to answer this by saying what Harvard is doing is important to Harvard.

A lot of us are familiar with Mckenzie, from the inside. But yes, do tell. (Again, though, you share too much personal info about yourself on here.)

Poetgrl, like I said before its lazy thinking to say that Harvard may be breaking the law by discriminating against Asians but because of their stature and connections they will get away with it. What’s illegal is illegal and I am shocked that so many people just want to wink and nod.

Thank goodness for courts. You have a low opinion of them and think that they will engage in nepotism. But I disagree. We don’t live in a banana republic.

Anyway I think academic standards would drop because there would be some 30-35 pct low SES and I mean low, like people with family income 30k or less. It just reflects the sad state of low SES schools.

Hey, let him talk. I haven’t heard Miranda yet, right?

Vor, Asians?

The best candidates do not always have the best numbers.

I am interested in reading about McKenzie’s hiring practices.

User…you should have the mods delete the post about your wife. That is too much information.

Predominantly? No. There are lots of Harvard grads here. But they are not the majority group, not by a long shot.

User, I must be thinking of BCG or Bain. What is it at McKinsey? Dartmouth, MIT, Stanford and Oxbridge?

Poetgrl, I know nothing about McKenzie rofl

You sure you got the correct Firm here?

Nevermind…

McDonalds?

Dstark I don’t have an Asian cap other than total available seats after other quotas are fulfilled. I think the 40 pct of the seats that I have after URMs and internationals and low SES and athletes and legacies and developmentals will be utterly dominated by Jews and Asians. I may be wrong but that’s my gut as opposed to everyone else’s gut lol.

McKinsey. Autocorrect.

Don’t be an idiot.

Oops. I wrote McKenzie. Lol

So, name calling now, Poetgrl? I am done with you.
