found out that you didn’t like the new him/her anymore, despite you liking him/her a lot in the past? does that even change your feelings for the person permanently? (for all your wonderful memories in elementary/middle school, your friend is no longer the same and has become someone you don’t even like anymore?)

Yes, one. We were best friends until 4th grade. He found me about a month ago and added me. We had a conversation, it did not go well. We went to a Catholic elementary school together. He stayed Catholic, I did not. I have no issue with religion, but he chose to make it an issue and to go as far as to mock my own beliefs.

However, the majority of people I have added, whether I liked them then or not, I have found that I get along with quite well.

Sort of. This was actually one of the reasons I stopped using Facebook. It seemed like every single person I had ever met, ever, wanted to add me on FB,

It got irritating and made me a little paranoid after awhile.

The last straw was when this kid I was sort-of-kind-of friends with in 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade added me. He, and every other person from elementary school, wanted to talk about the “good ole times.”

Not interested.

I added this guy I knew from 5th grade…
I was a sophomore when I added him on the spacer, and I told him I had liked him. He told me he would’ve “given me a chance” back then. In the end, he started to like me, and I started to like him again. But I had long moved away from our hometown, but I visited every summer. Deal breaker was that he smoked weed all the time and had the side effects of it (temper, disillusionment lol, etc.). We don’t really talk at all, and I’m in a great relationship now.

No… I did add a girl from elementary school who facebook stalked me. Other than that one girl it’s all been at least neutral and in the case of the two people who were my best friends from when I was probably four to eight we reconnected, met up a bunch of times and rekindled a real (i.e. not just on facebook) friendship.

Not at all.

I’m FB friends with a girl who was my bestie since we were like 3 until she moved to California. We don’t post that much on each other’s walls these days.

Grr. Platts changed her famous location I knew her so well for. Ah well. :o

Yes, I have, in answer to this actual question. Several of my old elem friends before I moved halfway through fifth grade (again) across the country.

They really changed. Like, they were all Hannah Montana-obsessed and urgh…

I always find an old friend from like 3rd grade who is now a stoner, drunk person. It’s kinda sad.

I found this girl who I drew art with in elementary school. I remember she was nice and shy, and she won this state competition for drawing an “anti-drug cartoon”. (those Say No to Drugs) I went on her fb and found her smoking and wiped out on the ground.
