Experience is useless. I really can’t stand hearing it in relation to a Presidential race. The bottom line is you don’t truly know what it means to be President until you are the President. Years in the Senate don’t prepare you for that.

That would be awesome if everybody was Independent

You are right that i classify myself as a conservative(Independent though not republican) but i dont think that you can give Obama the honor of stopping this recession.

There is little evidence that anything that he did has influenced the outcome to a large degree. Less than 10% of the money of the stimulus bill has even been spent so that cant be the reason. Although some form of a bailout might have been necessary(just because we have put ourselves in so much dependence on them) the way it was brought about was inefficient and done hastily so that the bill was written without much thought(the first bill that was passed that bailed out the first few companies was one and a half pages long!!! which is why we are still have problems with the executives)

This could have been done with more planning and to less harm to our already large deficit.

Experience is beneficial. We learn from our failure and apply the knowledge derived from it to formulate success.

Lol, the topic has alternated.

How is experience useful in the Presidential role? Obviously you don’t want to put a normal civilian in the Oval Office but a 3rd year Senator vs. a 40 year Senator makes no difference. There really are zero similarities between being a Congressman and President other than the fact that they are both high ranking political figures.

But back to Walmart. Man people of Walmart is a great site.

The end of the recession was a part of the natural business cycle, not Obama.

this is perhaps one of the most elitist thread ever. be wary of this elitism, because if the “less intelligent” masses get tired of elitism, they will try to overthrow it. i doubt this thread will have any effect, but remember that people who may not be as smart as you are still people and not worthless. the saying is “hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.” i’m not accusing any one person of anything, but let’s try to keep debate civil. often much more can be achieved with kind words and consideration of others than not.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA WALMART.

No thanks, I’m not Southern.

Agreed!! That’s what I was trying to say… but would people listen… nope.

i also think that wal mart isn’t inherently evil or unethical. most things are only pennies cheaper than other counterparts, and some things are made in the US. i hope that can be useful for this discussion.

There we go. Smiley knows what’s up.

Guidos don’t shop at Walmart.

hahahahahha

I’m sure the poor of America are looking to overthrow the government because they are treated so much worse than the poor in other countries. lol

And actually the principle problem right now in America is that those who supposedly are “hard working” and blue collar aren’t really working that hard. I’m pretty sure Indians who are considered “hard working” work a lot harder than American blue collar workers. We are lazy.

hahaha haterunite, i don’t think america is going to have an uprising anytime soon. all i’m saying is that elitism has sparked uprisings before (like in france in the 1790’s or when the tsar’s were overthrown).

Just guessing but I’d be willing to classify the United States government as very dissimilar to those in 18th century France and Russia.

If any “uprising” is going to happen it will be from middle class America(march on washington at the most not anything like the Jacobins during the French Revolution)

hatersunite: certainly. the US is very dissimilar to both.

These are the kind of threads that make me realize that the average ccer is that ******bag kid that doesn’t really have any friends, but does well in all his classes. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

^^^ anybody u are talking about in particular?

MITT ROMNEY!?!?!?! There is the definition of a conservative nutjob. Some people say Bush is as bad as it gets, but no, if this MORON were President our country would be past the point of being in the ****ter. But great job of getting people to buy into your ■■■■■■■■ btw, hard to pull that off on this site.

LOL get real dude. Yes, he is conservative just as Obama is liberal. But that really is not a big issue in my opinion. You seem to be a left wing nutjob to me. Policy doesn’t make that much of a difference to me. I care more about the individual. After all, the President has very little influence on policies. He is all about image.

lol I’d take Romney over Huckabee or the proposed 2012 GOP candidates any day.
BUsh would have been kind of cool if he were never president.
Palin as prez=comedy 4 years
