HELP: "Helping" Major 3.2GPA wanting diversity [WI resident, 21 ACT, <$30k]

Hearing that the service aspect of your D’s visit to St. Joe’s really appealed to her made me think of the Jesuits (which you’re probably already very familiar with :grinning:) as well as the Franciscans.

These are some Franciscan colleges that your family may want to investigate. On Niche the students all report their schools as balanced or there appears to be a balance between conservative, moderate, and liberal views with the exception of Franciscan U. of Steubenville where the majority of students identified the campus as conservative or very conservative politically.

  • Alvernia (PA ): About 2k undergrads. 63% white, 14% Hispanic, 11% black

  • Franciscan U. of Steubenville (OH): About 2800 undergrads. 70% white, 19% Hispanic, 3% Asian.

  • Neumann (PA ): About 1700 undergrads. 52% white, 29% black, 8% Hispanic

  • Quincy (IL): About 1100 undergrads. 74% white, 10% black, 6% Hispanic.

  • Siena (NY): About 3500 undergrads. 76% white, 9% Hispanic, 4% Black.

I’m not sure if they’ve been considered yet, but here are some additional Jesuit options:

  • Canisius (NY): About 1800 undergrads. 67% white, 11% black, 6% Hispanic.

  • Creighton (NE): About 4300 undergrads, 70% white, 10% Hispanic, 8% Asian

  • Gonzaga (WA): About 5100 undergrads, 64% white, 13% Hispanic, 7% Asian

  • Regis (CO): About 2400 undergrads. 50% white, 28% Hispanic, 6% Asian

  • Rockhurst (MO): About 2500 undergrads. 64% white, 13% Hispanic, 8% black.

  • Saint Louis (MO): About 11k undergrads. 50% white, 22% unknown, 10% Asian, 6% black, 6% Hispanic.

  • Seattle U. (WA): About 4k undergrads. 34% white, 25% Asian, 15% Hispanic.

  • U. of Scranton (PA ): About 3600 undergrads. 74% white, 12% Hispanic, 4% Asian, 4% black.
