Help! I have 3 Cs. Will I be rescinded?

I was recently accepted to scripps college rd but due to family and health issues my grades have dropped this spring semester. Applying to scripps I had a 4.4 weighted, 3.9 uw, 1530 sat.
This semester I am sure I will get a C in AP physics C, calc BC, and AP lit. I have both Bs in my two other classes.
What are my chances of being rescinded?

There’s still time in the school year. Can you go to your guidance counselor for advice? Can you approach ypur teachers, explain your situation, and ask for their help?

I have no idea about your original question, but you can at least do the above.

You may be asked to provide an explanation. I suggest talking to your GC. They may contact the college on your behalf before Scripps asks for any such letter.

You’ve committed to Scripps, right?

What does your offer letter say - usually it has a conditional clause.

You can contact them to ask if worried.

Please don’t make excuses to your grades.

Just note these are your grades…the why is not relevant.

But always look at what your letter says - you are likely fine - but you can ask if you want to be sure.

And of course you have time to get the grades up - depending on your school calendar (some go to June).

It just says “ your offer of admission is contingent upon successful completion of your current academic work. Finish the year in style and please send us your final transcript by July 1”

Yes

Hoping all works out. No one should be dismissive of someone else’s hardships.

I would ask your GC to offer support.

well there you go - you’re good. But call if you want to have final confirmation.

You won’t even have to give your name most likely.

Perhaps your school counselor can make a call and ask…no name given. But might ask if a counselor verification of these extenuating circumstances is needed with C grades.

The good news is…you are passing! And not with a D!
