I’m still getting MOB dresses. I like the second nightie best. I have to admit I have a thing about that silkie stuff, I just don’t like the way it feels. My favorite nightie ever was in a very soft very sheer cotton. Eventually the cotton got so thin it just wore out. If you want to get her lingerie, I would go for a simple and beautiful silk robe, under which she can wear nothing. B-)

I like the first two that conmama linked, and the last one from HarvestMoon. I’m pretty conservative. I think something like this would be a nice gift–other people are getting the kitchen stuff, right? My 28yo niece got something like in #13 at her wedding shower last year. It was a big hit. Tasteful, not TOO sexy.
Of the limited number of young women who would appreciate nice lingerie, I think even a smaller number would want to deal with 100% silk. The robe and chemise selected by Consolation and Harvest Moon are very pretty but they would be very hard to care for. Pricey, too. Conmama, can you clarify whether this is specifically a lingerie shower?
My mother got me a gorgeous - and I mean breathtakingly gorgeous - silk nightgown and robe for a bridal shower. Nothing risqué, long and elegant. It wasn’t Natori, but that idea. At the end of the shower, the husband of one of the women who threw the shower showed up along with my fiancé (they were friends) to cart the gifts home. Someone must have said, oh look how pretty this is, and he said, yes, it will look very pretty on the floor. Lol!
I just think it depends on the girl’s taste. My mother knew my taste and this was it, but it was more that she wanted to get me something pretty. Tbh though, I didn’t get much real use of it - just not practical. And I do wear silk pajamas (in fact wearing them as I lie in bed typing this) - though more accurately speaking they are silk-like and are machine washable.
I get where you are coming from, though - almost a hope chest / trousseau thing. I like Consolation’s link but perhaps you can find some that can be machine washed.
“Hand Wash” cycle on your washing machine or about $8 to dry clean a chemise.
You can’t get 1 sock dry cleaned for $8 in my neck of the woods.
Move to my neck of the woods!! You can have a wool blazer cleaned for less than that. 
(Still no lingerie ads).
This sort of thing is not for “every night” wear.
I agree about the gift of sexy lingerie being weird in this relationship; it would bother me if it was my daughter…

Shower gifts are supposed to be for the bride right? How about a gift certificate for a massage or a spa day?
Or a certificate for a formal sit down tea. For a shower I like to make a bridal shower wedding towel cake. I saw a lot of nice ideas on pinterest. One cake tower was made with a collection of bottled spices.

If you like the long gowns that is actually very pretty @Mezzo’sMama. Reasonably priced as well.
I recently went lingere shopping with my daughter who will be getting married later this year, so this is a recent topic for me.
One thing to consider is her shape. If she is smaller busted, then any of these will be fine. If she is busty, then it is possible that none of them will fit her well. If you look at all of the models, none of them are well endowed and none of the nighties look as if they could be worn well by someone with larger breasts.
My daughter is quite busty, so she really had to try on many nightgowns to check for fit. Many could not hold larger breasts.
My bridesmaids got me a silky nightie and I hated it. It was nice looking but was better suited for a small busted women. I had large breasts and so it looked awful on me. What a wasted purchase. It just made me feel ugly (yes, I had body issues stemming from being large breasted) which I am certain was not the goal.
