Help needed (abt info on finance and admission)

hi guys… as this is my very first post in CC i hope you wud help me out. I’m Nafis from Bangladesh and I’m interested in UVA. Ive sent them a REALLY LONG email about the student requirements and finances 5 days ago. Since they haven’t replied yet, I was hoping one of u guys would help me to get some info about those. Heres a little BG info on me: Ive done my O Levels under Edexcel, and currently doing A Levels under CIE, which I’m gonna finish next June. The part I don’t knw about here is, which of SAT or IELTS or any other exams like TOEFL do I gotta sit for to get UVA’s attention?

2nd part is the finance: international students like me require tuition fees approx. $42k for UVA, which is totally impossible for me, given my family ain’t rich. Are there any scholarship opportunities in UVA which gives maximum waiver? I’m planning to major in Applied Maths.
So… can anyone help me? My email is hidden_killa@hotmail.com in case u wanna contact me. And if u guys wanna knw more info like my O & A Levels subjects and grades, plz do tell.

Thanks! Hope this worx…

It’s hard for the lone staff that answers all the email to the general account to get to every email each day. If you wrote a “really long” email, I imagine she had to send it to the Director of International Admission.

The International student page has instructions. You must take the SAT and either the IELTS or TOEFL.

[International Students, Undergraduate Admission, U.Va.](http://www.virginia.edu/undergradadmission/international.html)

These scholarships exist, but there is very little scholarship money for international students. Most of our aid money goes to domestic students with need. This is why international students are asked to complete the Financial Guarantee Form.

[The international exams like the A levels are addressed on the website](http://artsandsciences.virginia.edu/college/admissions/international_exams.html). They don’t replace the SAT/TOEFL/IELTS.
