<p>Im doing an essay contest( 11 winners. $4,500 in scholarships to each winner) and the topic is Most Influential Texans since 1845. You have to read a biography on the person and explain why you believe they are the most influential Texan in 1,000 words or less. The people Im considering right now are (Already checked and they have all these in Bios)</p>

<p>Lyndon B Johnson-Seems a little to mainstream
Lance Armstrong- Influenced people to never give up and not as mainstream as LBJ
Red McCombs- Texas Businessmen. Less mainstream
Walter Cronkite- The Dark horse in my group. Probably really original compared to other essays. </p>

<p>I think I can make any of these people sound the most influential. My main concern is to not be to prototypical.
If you were in my situation who would you write about?</p>
